 Welcome to Text 4 Taxi, Skyline’s new solution for booking taxis. Text 4 Taxi is a new revolutionary SMS booking system that is quick and simple to use. From January 15, 2006 Skyline Taxis became the 1st taxi operator in the UK to provide a direct SMS Taxi Booking Service. This new way of booking taxis will be available to all customers', all you have to do is register first.
 All Text Bookings will be given PRIORITY over other fares. Once your driver has been dispatched and is within a few minutes of arriving we will use Text-Back and text you the vehicle details. No more guessing, worrying about bogus drivers, you will have the benefit of knowing you are being picked up by a Milton Keynes Licensed Private Hire Driver. There are many problems with bogus drivers touting fares, especially of an evening. These days safety must be given precedence, in London alone Police figures show there are on average 10 sex assaults or rapes on women every month by unregistered minicab drivers. Ideal for places of work, hotels, restaurants, clubs, pubs, etc… Any fixed location requiring minicabs. Make sure your staff and clients are given a prioritised service! No more ringing round at busy times – text bookings always accepted, users book directly with the Control Room Dispatch system.
Once registered you receive a sign, with a unique location reference. Anybody needing a taxi would text the reference number to Skylines’ SMS Booking number and that’s it. Users receive a text SMS to confirm and receives a booking reference which will be used to identify the passenger to the taxi driver and vice versa.
Example, a busy reception has a Taxi-Text Point with a unique reference, a client has finished their meeting and needs a taxi. The user sends the unique reference displayed on the Text-Point to 07903 222111 - this then automatically books a taxi from that location. The customer receives a confirmation text with booking reference which will be used to identify customer to the taxi driver and vice versa.

 Personal users can register upto 10 locations. After you’ve registered you text one of your registered keywords to the Text Booking number 07903 222111 and that’s it, this is a fully automatic service with no middle person involved. The computer recognises your mobile phone number against your registration details, then books your taxi accordingly.
This new service is FREE other than the cost of a text. |
